Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks a Landfill Field Technician to work on a variety of environmental projects related to landfill gas collection and control systems.

The majority of time is in the field with travel between Raynham and Peabody sites. Duties include operating, monitoring, and maintaining gas control/recovery systems, collecting data from wellfields, performing valve adjustments, pipe/valve installation, and on-call responses.

Qualifications

• 0-10 years of experience in a related field.
• Mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors ~90% of the time.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain landfill gas migration control/recovery systems.
• Collect data from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations.
• Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance.
• Interpret data collected in the field.
• Assist with small construction projects including pipe and valve installation.
• Maintain and operate landfill flares and perform pump maintenance.
• Provide on-call response to gas collection and control system malfunctions.
