Environmental Field Technician - Tullahoma, TN

At Jacobs, we lead the development and implementation of environmental remediation and compliance solutions. We are seeking a General Technician to support groundwater treatment system operations, prioritizing safety in all activities both in the field and in the office.

Based at Arnold Air Force Base in Manchester, Tennessee, your role will involve approximately 90% fieldwork and 10% office tasks. Field responsibilities include operating and maintaining landfill gas flare systems, conducting daily inspections, sampling, air monitoring, and documenting activities. Office tasks encompass data entry, coordinating with subcontractors, sample packaging and shipping, and ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance. You will be expected to complete tasks on schedule and within budget, and communicate progress to project managers.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry into Excel-based systems
• Valid Real ID driver’s license with no major infractions, or ability to obtain one
• Ability to pass a background check to access the Base
• US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Willingness to relocate or proximity to Tullahoma or Manchester, TN
• Experience with environmental sampling and landfill gas systems
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training
