Job summary

Tectonic is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist to support projects in White Plains, NY, with opportunities for professional growth under experienced mentors in the A/E/C industry.

The role involves field investigations for asbestos and lead, soil and groundwater sampling, site assessments, and remediation support, plus detailed reporting and collaboration with project managers, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant field and 2–6 years of ESA experience.
• Experience with Phase I and Phase II ESAs is required.
• Experience with asbestos, lead, or hazardous materials is a plus.
• OSHA safety training within a reasonable period after starting.
• Strong written and oral communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel; PDF tools; GIS a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos and lead investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, and site investigations.
• Prepare detailed field reports and technical documents; communicate with project managers and clients.
• Utilize software to analyze data and support remediation activities.
