Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in Washington State seeks an Environmental Construction Manager (ECM) to support environmental compliance during utility-scale projects. The role is based in Washington and requires 100% on-site work at project locations, with field responsibilities and documentation throughout construction.

You’ll monitor environmental requirements, coordinate with EPC teams, and manage stormwater, cultural resources, and Section 106 activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental compliance, inspection, or construction oversight on active projects.
• Strong knowledge of Washington State environmental requirements, stormwater, and cultural resources.
• Ability to interpret permits and environmental plans and communicate them to field teams.
• Proven skill in completing forms and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor field activities and convey environmental requirements to the EPC contractor and teams.
• Coordinate with EPS on compliance status, observations, and corrective actions.
• Support compliance with permits, plans, and project commitments including stormwater and cultural resources.
• Assist Section 106 coordination when applicable.
• Prepare reports, forms, and documentation within required timelines.
• Attend meetings, update on environmental requirements, and follow up on action items.
• Maintain organized records including photos, correspondence, and audit materials.
• Support audits and agency reporting and respond to information requests.
• Flag environmental concerns and help drive corrective actions to resolution.
