Clean Harbors in Germantown, WI is seeking a CDL B Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack and inspect chemical waste at customer sites and plants. This entry-level, customer-facing role works indoors and outdoors and involves lab packs and HHW collections.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to perform physical functions as required.
• Background check, drug test, and medical clearance as applicable.
• Respiratory protection standards compliance per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by following all practices, policies and procedures.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests and land disposal restriction notifications.
• Inspect staging areas for housekeeping and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect drums for leaks, spills and labeling compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and compliance.
• Perform on-site work at Clean Harbors customer locations, including Fortune 500 clients.
• Prepare and approve projects before shipment per OSHA, EPA, DOT and company rules.
• Follow site-specific disposal restrictions and special packaging requirements.
• Sample and profile new waste streams or any waste requiring testing.
