Job summary

Venterra Realty is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to install, service, and monitor on-site technology systems, reporting to the Project Engineer. The role blends hands-on field work with corporate responsibilities, including system design input and hardware improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of field experience, strong electrical testing skills, and experience with networking and low-voltage wiring. Travel up to 30% is required across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of field experience with electrical systems.
• Proficient with a multi-meter and measurement tools.
• Intermediate knowledge of networks (switches, Wi-Fi) and low voltage wiring.
• Experience with access control systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage, install, and service low-voltage systems (cameras, access control, IoT).
• Audit sites and design layouts for new installs and retrofits of access control and camera systems.
• Install and evaluate prototypes for new technologies at Venterra communities.
• Assist due diligence and onboard technology for new properties.
• Pursue CPTED, CCNA, EPA 608 certifications to grow expertise.
