Job summary

CTI in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Engineering Technician to support field tests, data collection, and inspections on DOE, DOD, and commercial projects. You will help prepare technical drawings and reports using engineering software, and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field equipment to ensure project execution runs smoothly.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent, 2 years in a similar role, and are able to travel full-time.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years of experience as an engineering technician or in a similar technical support role.
Background check clearance and CTI drug/alcohol testing policy compliance.
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Willingness to travel on a full-time basis and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

Support field tests, data collection, and inspections for multiple projects.
Assist in preparing technical drawings, reports using engineering software.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot engineering equipment.
Perform routine fieldwork and ensure accurate data reporting to senior engineers.
Follow safety, environmental, and project-specific procedures.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical challenges.
Flexibility to adapt to changing directives and conditions.
