Job summary

CTI and Associates is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support DOE, DOD, and commercial projects. You will perform tests, collect data, and assist in preparing detailed schematics, blueprints, and reports.

Travel to client sites and labs is required to oversee assembly, installation, and testing of systems and prototypes. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field, with 5 years of relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field (required) or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• 5 years of experience in an engineering technician role (required), with government projects or highly regulated environments preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications in equipment operation or safety (preferred).
• Proficiency with engineering software, equipment and tools; knowledge of DOE/DOD or commercial project standards (preferred).
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing policy compliance required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel full-time; meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical tasks to support engineering projects, including tests, measurements, and data collection.
• Assist engineers in preparing complex technical documentation such as schematics, blueprints, and reports.
• Travel to and from sites to oversee assembly, installation, and testing of systems and prototypes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot advanced technical equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration.
• Lead fieldwork activities such as surveys, inspections, and testing with accuracy and adherence to specs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and engineering staff.
• Ensure on-site safety and environmental compliance; follow CTI policies.
• Collaborate with engineers and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting directives or responsibilities as needed.

Education

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field
