Job summary

CTI and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support field tests, data collection, and inspections across DOE, DOD, and commercial contracts. Travel to project sites is required; you will assist engineers with drawings, testing equipment operation, and reporting.

You will work within safety, environmental, and project standards, using AutoCAD and other engineering software while maintaining data quality and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field; 2 years' experience in engineering tech.
• 2 years' experience as engineering technician or related role; government or regulated projects preferred.
• Certifications in equipment operation or safety preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) and testing equipment; SOPs in field.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required (pre-employment and during employment).
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel on a full-time basis.
• Must meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and between project sites to assist engineers and scientists in field tests, data collection, and inspections.
• Assist in preparing technical drawings, reports, and documentation using engineering software.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment during project execution.
• Perform routine fieldwork and inspections with accurate data collection and reporting to senior engineers.
• Follow established procedures and safety/environmental/project standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical challenges during the project lifecycle.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in directives or responsibilities as needed.
