Job summary

CTI and Associates seeks a technically minded engineering technician to support fieldwork and data collection on engineering projects in Akron, OH. The role requires travel between job sites and collaboration with engineers.

The candidate will operate basic equipment, assist in preparing reports and drawings, and maintain safety and quality standards. A 0–2 year background in a technical role is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years in a technical support role or as an engineering technician preferred.
• Basic certifications in engineering tech preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering software/design tools is beneficial.
• Background check and drug testing required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel full-time.
• Able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and between job sites to assist engineers and senior technicians in fieldwork, testing, and data collection.
• Operate basic technical equipment under supervision, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Support development of technical reports, drawings, and documentation with engineering teams.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines for field tasks or lab work.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic technical issues under guidance of senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records of fieldwork and testing results for project documentation.
• Be flexible with changes to directives or responsibilities as needed.
