Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related curriculum.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • QMS Asphalt and Concrete Testing certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supports higher level technicians and engineers in construction inspection, surveying, materials sampling, testing, and traffic control.
  • Performs tests and assignments in compiling, analyzing, editing, and processing field data.
  • Maintains records and certifications for material sampling and testing.
  • May work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • May perform duties on survey party or inspect roadway and bridge projects.
  • Use testing instruments and read plan details to take field measurements.
  • Perform entry level technical work in materials area or perform sampling, testing and inspection.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions; exposed to high traffic volumes.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; safety toe shoes required.
