Actalent is seeking an Engineering Technician in Asheville, NC to support field inspections, engineering design, and calculations for project delivery.

The role involves coordinating with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, and other stakeholders, providing engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews to ensure standards compliance, with approx. 80% travel locally and regionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; associates degree or higher preferred.
• Willingness to perform field and office work and travel for site inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements.
• Provide engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews for standards compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis of outages using engineering principles.
• Travel to sites as needed; ~80% local/regional field data collection for design work.
