Job summary

The State of North Carolina, Department of Transportation, seeks an Engineering Technician I (S) to support inspection, surveying, sampling, testing, and traffic control on roadway and structure projects. Qualifications

Must have or obtain QMS Asphalt and Concrete Testing Certifications.
Safety footwear required; ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

Assist in construction inspection, surveying, sampling and testing activities.
Serve as project inspector on roadway, utility, and structure projects.
Enter project data into systems and maintain records.
Assist with traffic control and field measurements as assigned.
