Surveying And Mapping, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Survey Field Technician I to support field crews with data collection and instrument handling. You will work on real-world geospatial projects and gain hands-on experience in surveying techniques.

The role requires outdoor activity in varied weather, reliability for travel, and adherence to safety protocols while assisting crew chiefs from setup through field notes and data recording.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of industry experience.
• Knowledge of basic types of surveys, survey computations, and field operations.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel and work remotely for extended periods.

Mansioni

• Operates geomatics instruments to support field crew.
• Assists in completing field surveys under Crew Chief supervision.
• Operates and checks basic field adjustments of land survey equipment.
• Uses survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data.
• Reads and interprets maps and plans.
• Keeps neat field notes under supervision.
• Keeps Crew Chief informed of problems and progress.
• Loads and unloads equipment and supplies.
• Maintains equipment, tools and vehicle.
• Follows safety procedures for land survey operations.
