North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineering Technician I (S) for the Mills River Construction Office to support technicians and engineers in field testing, surveying and inspection activities.

You will perform diverse field data tasks, calculations, and record keeping, with potential for career growth. A nearby trainee path may be explored with the appropriate qualifications and experience.

Competenze

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in construction inspection, surveying, or related field is preferred.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and perform field calculations and data entry.

Mansioni

• Perform construction inspection and surveying tasks.
• Collect and analyze materials sampling and testing data.
• Assist with erosion control and construction traffic management.
• Maintain neat, legible records and reports, including electronic data entry.
