Job summary

Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC seeks a Field Engineering Technician – Construction Materials Testing Technicians based from our Greenville, SC office. You will perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to ensure compliance with project specs and industry standards.

You will review blueprints, document results, calibrate equipment, and communicate findings to project teams and clients, with some travel for short assignments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections.
• ACI Certification is required.
• Willingness to travel for short assignments.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project specs.
• Review blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites.
• Document field activities and testing results on projects per plans and specs.
• Communicate field and laboratory testing results with project staff, contractors and clients.
• Calibrate field and laboratory equipment to industry standards.
