Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support construction and engineering project activities during a May–August 2027 term. You will observe field operations, assist with inspections, coordinate tasks with engineers and planners, and help with cost estimating and documentation to contribute to safe, reliable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering degree program with a focus in Construction.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027.
• Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term.

Responsibilities

• Visit construction sites to observe operations and assist with project inspections.
• Support assessment of project requirements, monitor project progress, and assist with safety and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with planners, project coordinators and engineers on project execution activities.
• Participate in professional development sessions, program presentations and team collaboration opportunities.
• Assist with project cost estimating, subcontractor bid solicitation and bid evaluation activities.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs and review contractor cost proposals.
• Prepare progress reports, change orders, requests for information (RFIs) and other project documentation.
• Conduct research on construction methods, materials and industry practices
