Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support construction and engineering projects through site observation, project coordination, cost estimating and project documentation activities. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to active construction environments, project planning, contractor coordination, safety and quality processes, and engineering project execution.

You will gain practical experience applying academic knowledge to real projects while collaborating with engineers,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering or Construction‑related degree program.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027.
• Returning to full‑time studies immediately following the work term.
• Availability to work full‑time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction site visits, observations and inspections to support project execution.
• Support project requirement assessments, progress monitoring and safety and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with planners, project coordinators and engineers on ongoing projects.
• Participate in professional development sessions, leadership exposure opportunities and end‑of‑program presentations.
• Assist with project cost estimating, subcontractor bid solicitation and bid analysis activities.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs and review contractor cost proposals.
• Prepare progress reports, change orders, requests for information (RFIs) and other project documentation.
• Conduct research on construction methods, materials and industry practices.
