Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support construction and engineering projects through site observation, cost estimating and project documentation activities. You will gain hands-on experience working with engineers, planners and project professionals, contributing to safe and reliable energy delivery across North America.

The program offers exposure to active construction environments, collaboration with senior staff, and professional development within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Engineering or Construction degree program.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start date.
• Returning to full-time studies immediately after the work term.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the term.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction site visits, observations and inspections to support project execution.
• Support project requirement assessments, progress monitoring and safety and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with planners, project coordinators and engineers on ongoing projects.
• Participate in professional development sessions, leadership exposure opportunities and end-of-program presentations.
• Assist with project cost estimating, subcontractor bid solicitation and bid analysis activities.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs and review contractor cost proposals.
• Prepare progress reports, change orders, RFIs and other project documentation.
• Conduct research on construction methods, materials and industry practices.
