Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Director, Field Engineering to lead engineering and construction operations across our network. You will guide front-line leadership, oversee HFC plant management, fiber projects, and ensure service reliability while aligning with strategic growth and deployment goals.

The role emphasizes technical direction, budget oversight, governance, and staff development to sustain high performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent.
SCTE-BCT/E certification or equivalent preferred.
8+ years engineering experience; 5+ years project management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing front-line leadership team to drive results and customer experience.
Oversee engineering and construction operations, including HFC plant management, projects, security, and new builds.
Provide technical direction for existing and new technologies; support network planning and strategy.
Direct field staff for complex fiber projects ensuring timely delivery per SLAs.
Administer capital budgeting and business planning; recommend bid selections.
Ensure FCC compliance and maintain documentation and records.
Lead quality control, mapping/design documentation, and staff development.
