Job summary

EDM International, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support the construction of electric utility infrastructure. This role is field-based, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and project requirements.

You will monitor activities, document conditions, and coordinate resolutions when field conditions differ from designs; experience with transmission, distribution, or substation projects is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; equivalent field experience may be considered.
• 2+ years in engineering, construction, or field engineering.
• Experience with electric utility transmission, distribution, or substation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support for electric utility construction projects.
• Monitor construction activities for conformance with drawings and specs.
• Prepare detailed daily field reports of progress, conditions, and issues.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients to resolve field issues.
• Identify discrepancies and document field changes or nonconforming work.
• Review field testing results and ensure consistency with project requirements.
• Maintain drawings, specs, permits, RFIs, submittals, and other docs.
