Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to support field and office operations across the Southern California District, with opportunity for travel and growth. You will assist in interpreting drawings, takeoffs, job hazard analyses, and coordination of field crews, while learning cost reporting and subcontractor oversight.

The role requires a civil/construction-related degree, willingness to relocate, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field of engineering (civil, mechanical, construction management, mining, geotechnical).
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to various cities as needed on a national scale.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs by measurements and material percentages.
• Assist in preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support (elevation, control points, as-builts).
• Assist in daily labor timesheet processing and submissions.
• Assist in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) preparation.
