Holder Construction is seeking a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on our Culpeper, VA project. This is a full-time role that supports field supervision, operates surveying instruments, and performs layout tasks essential to project progress.

Ideal candidates may have construction exposure; overtime/weekend work is required; travel may be necessary. You will work outdoors in all weather and must maintain safety compliance while delivering reliable, on-time results at the

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for this position will possess previous construction experience but not required.
Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
Must have reliable transportation.
Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Assisting Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments, auto level and other surveying instruments.
Perform construction layout by setting stakes, marking lines, elevations, grades, and reference points.
This position will include on the job training.
Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools. Provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues and lead team to complete daily tasks at the jobsite.
