Job summary

Holder Construction seeks an Engineer Technician in Training to join our Operations team on a Culpeper, VA project. This full-time role offers on-site work and hands-on training in surveying and layout.

You will assist field engineers with robotic total stations, levels, and surveying instruments, perform layouts, and maintain equipment while supporting supervision to complete daily tasks on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Overtime and weekend hours may be required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Punctual and prompt every day.
• Able to work in an OSHA safety environment.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Field Engineers in operating robotic total station and other surveying instruments.
• Perform construction layout by setting stakes, lines, elevations and reference points.
• Receive on-the-job training and develop field surveying skills.
• Maintain survey equipment and support field supervision, ensuring task ownership and safety.
