Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on our project in Manasses, VA. This is a full-time position designed to develop practical field skills and advance within a national leader in construction.

You will assist Field Engineers with robotic total station instruments, perform layout by setting stakes, elevations, and reference points, and maintain survey tools.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates may have construction experience, but not required.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
• Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments, autolevel and other surveying instruments.
• Perform construction layout by setting stakes, marking lines, elevations, grades, and reference points.
• This position will include on the job training.
• Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools. Provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues and lead team to complete daily tasks at the jobsite.
