Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to join our established, growing team. The role ensures construction work aligns with design drawings and coordinates survey activities on-site.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 2 years of surveying experience, including construction surveying, with strong math and problem-solving skills. Travel to offices and project sites is required, and the work is full-time.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • 2 years of technical and/or surveying experience.
  • 1 year of prior construction surveying experience.
  • Effective and Efficient decision maker.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced/Excellent trigonometric/geometric skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews plans and computes information for progress with the work.
  • Measures and records quantities daily using engineering notation and location descriptions.
  • Administer/manage/schedule all surveyors (including subcontracted).
  • Organizes and supervises project survey work.
  • Responsible for layout (vertical and horizontal) control work using survey equipment.
  • Compares in place work against drawings and specifications for accuracy.
  • Stakes accurately before work begins.
  • Enforces all safety policies.
