Job summary

Branch Civil is seeking a Field Engineer to provide surveying services on projects in Winston-Salem, NC. You will support supervision and crews by verifying design locations and ensuring construction work matches drawings and specifications.

This full-time role requires a High School diploma, 2 years of surveying experience, and strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills. Travel to job sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of technical and/or surveying experience.
• 1 year of construction surveying experience preferred.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and computes information required to progress the work.
• Measures and records quantities in engineering notation for daily progress.
• Administer/manage/schedule all surveyors assigned to the project.
• Organizes and supervises project survey work.
• Responsible for layout (vertical and horizontal) control work using survey equipment.
• Compares in place work against drawings and specs for accuracy.
• Stakes accurately before work begins.
• Performs minor surveying tasks as needed.
• Enforces company safety policies.
