Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. is seeking a Surveyor to support field teams by staking sites and developing layouts. You will work with Foremen to ensure accurate measurements and help maintain our reputation for quality in civil earthwork and concrete projects.

Travel to surrounding job sites is possible; you will read blueprints, transfer reference points, and set up GPS equipment to support timely project delivery while upholding safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with elevations.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist foreman with plan layout and site stakeout as needed.
• Transferring reference points and alignment from design drawings to the site to enable construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and layout jobs, mostly sidewalks, slabs, and walls with experience to set forms.
• Site layout for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, parking lots and curbs building pads
