Job summary

Concrete Frame Associates is seeking an entry- to mid-level Field Engineer / Surveyor to advance our project site layout and control work. You will review drawings, establish control lines, and lay out foundations, columns, walls, decks and embeds.

Significant travel (up to 70%) and exposure to field conditions are required. Ideal candidates have at least one year in field engineering with experience using Total Stations and a solid ability to read structural and architectural drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in field engineering/layout.
• Extensive travel up to 70%.
• Able to read and cross-check structural and architectural drawings.
• Meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction field engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents.
• Understand site survey objections and provide horizontal and vertical control using Total Stations.
• Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities.
• Establish control lines from control points.
• Layout foundations.
• Layout vertical formwork such as columns and walls.
• Layout decks and deck edges.
• Layout embeds blocks-outs and other items required by contract.
• Assist in the performance of surveying activities.
• Provide clerical support and documentation of engineering activities.
• Maintain proper usage and storage of surveying equipment.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related assignments.
