Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer (Heavy Civil Construction) to provide surveying services to supervision and craft teams, ensuring work aligns with design locations on site.

The role requires coordination of surveyors, precise measurements, and strict adherence to safety policies while supporting progress on projects. The position is full-time and involves travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• 2 years of technical and/or surveying experience.
• 1 year of prior construction surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans and computes for superintendent and his organization any information required to make progress with the work.
• Measures and computes quantities of work completed and records those quantities in a daily record using engineering notation and clear project descriptions.
• Administers and manages all surveyors (including subcontracted) assigned to the project.
• Organizes and supervises project survey work.
• Responsible for layout (vertical and horizontal) control work using all survey equipment.
• Compares in place work against drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Stakes accurately and completely before work begins.
• Enforces and adheres to all company safety policies.
