Harder Mechanical Contractors is seeking a Field Engineer to plan, schedule, and execute a defined project scope, coordinating with field labor to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the company’s quality standards.

This entry-level role serves as the gateway to a project management career at Harder, offering hands-on development, exposure to multiple market sectors, travel to other regions, and opportunities to advance Lean construction practices and professional credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, BM, Mechanical, Industrial or Civil Eng or equivalent experience.
• Previous internship in construction or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute a defined project scope at Harder.
• Coordinate with field labor to meet safety, schedule, and quality standards.
• Review construction drawings and compile scope and quantities.
• Monitor field construction for plan and specification compliance.
• Prepare and monitor work packages with labor and cost estimates.
• Track construction progress and update status weekly.
• Organize project records in a document control system.
• Estimate future work.
• Travel to other regions to gain exposure to markets.
