Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or related professional for on-site project work with Tensar Engineered Solutions. You will support installations, attend pre-construction meetings, and gather data to ensure design objectives are met.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills, plus the ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Project Engineer, or Field Technician experience preferred
• Strong communication and technical presentation skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization
• Strong leadership ability to focus, prioritize, and match skills to tasks
• Ability to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the time
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations

Responsibilities

• Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is being performed as designed
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with all project stakeholders
• Conduct post-construction interviews with key stakeholders to ensure original design objectives are met and performing as expected
• Document progress, submit daily progress reports, collect and submit feedback to Area Engineer and Regional Sales Manager
• Provide project site assessment using dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) and/or other methods to provide data for Tensar solutions
• Assist Area Engineer with technical support for the sales team including using design software, writing reports and submittals
