Job summary

CMC offers opportunities in the steel, construction reinforcement and ground stabilization industries. You may spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, with training and support from your team to excel in your role.

Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites, attend meetings, document progress, and provide site data and technical support to the sales team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
• Leadership ability to prioritize and match skills to tasks.
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships across the business.
• Ability to travel regionally 25%–50% of the time.
• Experience with civil/geotechnical projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is performed as designed.
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with all project stakeholders.
• Conduct post-construction interviews to ensure design objectives are met.
• Document progress and submit daily progress reports; provide feedback to Area Engineer and Regional Sales Manager.
• Provide site assessment data using DCP or other methods for Tensar solutions.
• Assist Area Engineer with technical support for the sales team including design software, reports, and submittals.

What You'll Do

• Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is being performed as designed
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with all project stakeholders
• Conduct post-construction interviews with key stakeholders to ensure original design objectives are met and performing as expected
• Document progress, submit daily progress reports, collect and submit feedback to Area Engineer and Regional Sales Manager
• Provide project site assessment using dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) and/or other methods to provide data for Tensar solutions
• Assist Area Engineer with technical support for the sales team including using design software, writing reports and submittals

What You'll Need

• Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Project Engineer, or Field Technician experience preferred
• Strong communication and technical presentation skills
• Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business and work with all levels in the organization
• Must have a strong leadership ability to focus, prioritize, and match skills to tasks
• Ability to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the time
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations

Your Education

• BS in Civil Engineering preferred
• BS or AD in Construction Management considered
• Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
