Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. This role connects engineering, construction, quality, and project management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution.

The position is site-based with daily per diem and rotation home every 3–4 weeks. Ideal candidates enjoy field work, problem solving, and cross-discipline collaboration to deliver large-scale renewables

Qualifications

• Experience supporting construction, engineering, quality, project management or field operations.
• Experience creating reports and maintaining project documentation.
• Experience working against deadlines and managing priorities.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to meet project objectives.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction teams, engineering partners, subcontractors, owners, and regulators to support project execution and resolve field issues.
• Support First Article Inspections and verify work per drawings, manage redlines and field reports.
• Generate and track RFIs to minimize schedule impacts.
• Review submittals and construction docs for compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks through proactive coordination and communication.
• Maintain visibility into subcontractors and self-perform scope execution for quality and safety.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with AHJs, utility reps, and stakeholders.
• Utilize drones to monitor progress and document site conditions.
• Work with management teams to improve consistency and outcomes on site.
