Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects nationwide. You will bridge engineering, construction, quality, and project management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution on site.

You will coordinate with teams, perform inspections, manage documentation, and use drones to monitor progress while driving adherence to design and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Surveying, Drafting/Design Technology or related field.
• Experience creating reports, maintaining documentation, or compiling project data.
• Experience working against deadlines and managing priorities.
• Experience collaborating within a team to support project objectives.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction teams, engineering partners, subcontractors, owners, and regulators to support project execution.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and verify work per drawings and specs; manage field docs.
• Generate and track RFIs to minimize schedule impacts.
• Review submittals and construction docs for project compliance.
• Help identify and mitigate construction risks through proactive coordination.
• Maintain visibility into subcontractors and scope execution for quality and safety.
• Coordinate inspections with AHJs and utility reps throughout construction.
• Use drones to monitor progress and document site conditions.
