Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to plan, schedule, and execute project scopes. You will coordinate with field labor to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to our quality standards.

This role serves as the entry point for a project management career at Harder. You will review drawings, estimate labor and costs, track progress, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam with intermediate Excel.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders including suppliers, crews, designers, and owners.
• Self-starter, motivated, and able to take initiative.
• Organized and productive with good time management.
• Willingness to travel to other regions to gain market exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute a defined project scope at Harder.
• Coordinate with field labor to ensure safe, on-schedule, quality work.
• Review drawings and compile scope and quantities.
• Monitor field construction for compliance with plans and specs.
• Prepare and monitor work packages with labor and cost estimates.
• Track progress and update status weekly.
