Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors in the western states is hiring a Project Engineer to support planning, scheduling and execution of construction scopes. You will coordinate with field labor to ensure safe, on-time completion and adherence to Harder’s quality standards.

This entry‑level role serves as the entry point for a project management career at Harder. You will review drawings, prepare work packages, monitor progress, mentor new engineers, and assist the project manager.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam with intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
• Strong communication with a broad range of stakeholders and teams.
• Self-starter, organized, with good time management and prioritization.
• Willingness to travel to other regions.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and define project scope and quantities.
• Coordinate with field labor to ensure safety, schedule, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, update status weekly, and maintain project records.
• Mentor new engineers and assist the project manager as needed.
• Prepare work packages with labor and cost estimates and assist in future work estimates.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering or related field
