Job summary

Sundt Construction, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer assistant to support the project team with technical information and coordination.

The role involves responding to drawing and specification questions, assisting in change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and submittals under guided steps from I to Senior. A professional relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and reviewing submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting.
• Support and execute the project management plan; understand change management and assist in project scope activities.
• Help administer the project quality management plan and uphold a safety culture on the project.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs; participate in risk management and cost control.
• Assist in BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers.
• Assist with documentation and submittals for LEED certification and updating ORD drawings.
• Provide lines, grades and layout for the project as needed; maintain an organized logbook.
• Record weekly quantities and maintain logs; support budgeting and cost control efforts.
