Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Field Engineering Technologist for the PCI sector. This role is primarily field-based, supporting construction management across Nebraska client sites, and contributing to safe, efficient project delivery.

You will review drawings, support QA processes, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and help drive quality, schedule, and cost outcomes on complex power projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or closely related discipline.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in construction management.
• 5+ years in EHV transmission lines, HVDC, power generation or sub-stations.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, Six Sigma) and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Engineer with QA plans, field reviews, and NCRs.
• Coordinate QA inspections and non-conformances to minimize schedule and cost impact.
• Review IFC specifications, RFI responses, and engineer drawings for constructability.
• Document project activities and provide daily/weekly/monthly reports from the field.
• Lead on-site coordination and mentor project team members to ensure quality outcomes.
