Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for our Power Constructors, Inc. (PCI) sector. This field role will operate across client service territory in Nevada, coordinating with Project Management and field teams.

You will oversee transmission facilities construction, safety, scheduling, budget, and QA, traveling as needed and interfacing with the client. A proven 15+ year field track record is required, with strong knowledge of MS Office, project controls, and contractor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or closely related discipline, or demonstrated proven equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in transmission operations, substation operations, Construction, Engineering, or equivalent education.
• Knowledge and proven record of transmission construction work, foundation installation, structure erection, wire stringing and sagging.
• Develops, revises, and maintains construction schedules and detailed construction sequence documents.
• Ability to read and review drawings and identify the required bill of materials.
• Must have current and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the transmission facilities construction within budget, scheduling, and quality goals.
• Coordinate construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site.
• Lead the field services team and serve as the primary interface with the client.
• Ensure site personnel follow established safety processes.
• Administer contracts and negotiate revisions with consultants, testers, clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor the material management plan implementation and progress reporting.
• Prepare budget estimates and cost tracking reports; manage change and meet deadlines.
• Travel extensively as required to project sites.
