Job summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to join our Field Operations team. You will assist in interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and supporting field and office engineering across diverse projects nationwide.

You will contribute to work planning, surveying support, and labor tracking while learning safety practices and project controls. Relocation and travel are common as projects vary by location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Support field surveying, elevations, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and field reports.
• Assist in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) and safety reviews.
• Provide solutions related to field operations and construction challenges.
• Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups on site.
• Supervise field operations and support subcontractor activities.
