Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking a practical Field Engineer to support installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment at customer sites. The role involves regular travel to varied locations and may include overnight stays to uphold high technical standards.

Responsibilities include site surveys, installing and configuring equipment, inspections and preventive maintenance, and compiling clear technical reports. A driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

Experience in field engineering, installation, maintenance or related discipline.
A relevant technical qualification is desirable.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals and specs.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills required.
Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Carry out site surveys and prepare technical reports.
Install and configure equipment and perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose faults and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate site activities with customers, contractors and internal teams.
Complete service records, risk assessments, method statements and commissioning docs; follow health and safety procedures.
