Manson Construction Co. in Richmond, CA, is seeking an entry to early-career Project Engineer to support marine construction projects across the Bay Area.
You will review drawings, manage field documentation, and help coordinate schedules with crews and subcontractors. The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, 0–2 years of experience, and proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD and Bluebeam are a plus.
This position is a part of our Project Management Team for our various job site locations throughout the region. Engineers provide onsite engineering and technical support, quality control, construction management assistance, land surveys, and help maintain a safe working environment. In this role, you will work closely with team of experienced field engineers, project engineers and project managers to contribute to the successful execution of Marine Construction projects throughout the region. The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background in civil engineering, construction management or a related field, coupled with a hands-on and practical approach to problem-solving.

Main office in Northern California is in Richmond, CA. Projects are typically in and around the Bay Area, but can range from San Luis Obispo up to Eureka, CA.

This role is performed primarily in the field and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, uneven terrain, loud noise, and active construction or industrial environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, to grasp, grip, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hats, goggles, work boots, safety vests, life vests) as needed for various job sites.
