Job summary

SPC Construction is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to lead field activities on one of the region’s landmark infrastructure projects, the Palisades Tunnel Project. You will ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes and contract specs while coordinating with crews, subcontractors and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Knowledge of scheduling and production time management preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review production schedules and ensure materials/equipment are available.
• Coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specs, and material requirements for quality and contract compliance.
• Provide technical input for work plan and scheduling, identify risk elements.
• Track project performance against budget and schedule; document activities.
• Manage cost coding with finance for time, materials, equipment and subs.
• Review and approve daily timecards; resolve inquiries with payroll and supervisors.
• Ensure QA through project lifecycle and manage permits and documentation.
• Plan field layout with crews; mark utilities and secure permits as needed.
• Assist development of design drawings and provide technical input.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
