Job summary

SPC Co. seeks an experienced Field Engineer to lead on critical infrastructure projects in New York. You will oversee compliance with standards, codes and contract specs while coordinating with crews and engineering leaders on site.

The role involves planning field layout, reviewing drawings, managing resources, and ensuring timely, within-budget delivery on a landmark tunnel project. A Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of construction experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, materials and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with scheduling and production time management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review schedule and confirm material and resources availability.
• Coordinates shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data for quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for work plans and identifies production risks.
• Evaluates project performance and documents activities.
• Manages cost coding with finance for time, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Reviews timecards and resolves inquiries with supervisors.
• Ensures QA against specs and manages certificates and inspections.
• Plans field layout and secures permits before production begins.
• Assists design drawings and coordinates subcontractor methods, schedules and crews.
