Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a Field Engineer to support the Construction team through the project lifecycle, providing site engineering resources and ensuring designs are correctly interpreted on site. You will coordinate with subcontractors, prepare RFPs for precast and concrete packages, review drawings, and help plan field layout while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent field.
• 4+ years construction field related experience and a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years construction field related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides construction site engineering resources and expertise during the construction phase of the Project.
• Plan and recommend civil procedures to be implemented by Field Supervision to ensure operations meet designs and specs.
• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Ensure copies of specifications and drawings are current and distributed to Superintendents.
• Coordinate field layout with crews, marking utility and commercial lines before production begins.
• Prepare RFPs for important packages (precast, piles, concrete) with construction managers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field

4+ years construction field experience

High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years construction field experience
