Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Carpenter II to support the project team in constructing, installing, and repairing structures for the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge.

You will work with wood, concrete, and formwork, read plans, and use hand and power tools on site. A minimum of 4+ years of construction experience is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Proof of knowledge of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with wood, concrete, and other materials formwork.
• Assist in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, plywood, and other materials per plans and specifications.
• Assist in building, setting, and removing concrete forms and placing concrete for structures.
• Assist with the installation of anchors, bolts, and reinforcing components for roadway structures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely.
• Assist with concrete pouring and finishing process.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with construction codes.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
