Job summary

Allan Myers, a leading heavy civil construction and materials company, offers on-the-job training within a fast-paced environment. You will gain exposure to large projects and participate in buddy assignments and social events while learning from experienced team members over typical 3–6 month assignments.

As an intern, you’ll contribute to daily production activities, quality control, and logistics, while developing professional skills in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining & Materials Engineering, Business Management, or another engineering related degree.
• Must be a team player and possess a collaborative attitude.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily asphalt plant operations and production activities.
• Monitor production schedules and plant performance.
• Support quality control testing and material sampling procedures.
• Track inventory levels of aggregates, liquid asphalt, and other raw materials.
• Assist with production reporting, data collection, and operational analysis.
• Coordinate deliveries and logistics for incoming materials and outgoing product.
• Observe and support plant maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Review production records, safety procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and identifying process improvements.
• Support plant supervisors and engineers with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
