Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc. is seeking motivated students to join the region’s largest heavy civil construction and materials company. You’ll receive on-the-job training from a team of talented professionals and be exposed to large-scale projects.

You will support a crew or plant team in planning, scheduling and execution, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, prepare work plans and handle daily reporting. Assignments typically last 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining & Materials Engineering, Business Management, or another engineering related degree.
• Must be a team player and possess a collaborative attitude.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating subcontractors for project execution.
• Managing the project schedule and milestones.
• Exposure to project plans and risk assessment.
• Preparing detailed work plans.
• Assisting with contract management activities.
• Daily reporting and documentation.
• Ordering and tracking materials.
• Processing change orders.
