Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking interns to support crews on heavy civil construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will assist with planning, scheduling and execution, gaining hands-on exposure to large-scale work.

Typical assignments run 3–6 months, with classroom training and buddy support. We value teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining & Materials Engineering, Business Management, or another engineering-related degree.
• Must be a team player with a collaborative attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Support a crew, project or plant team in planning, scheduling and execution of a heavy civil construction project.
• Coordinate subcontractors.
• Manage project schedules.
• Prepare work plans and review project plans exposure.
• Handle contract management tasks.
• Provide daily reporting.
• Order materials as needed.
• Process change orders.
